Scott is out of town this week attending the North American Christian Convention in Cincinnati, Ohio. I spoke to him briefly yesterday long enough for him to detail the tremendous quality of speakers and workshops that he had attended thus far. The rest of the staff and I look forward to his return to get the full scoop on what he has gleaned over this past week.
In the update for this week, I would simply like to echo what Scott said last week when highlighting the many positive elements at play right now at Forum.
We continue to receive feedback from many of you, detailing that the study on the Sermon on the Mount has been healthy on both individual and corporate levels. There is great beauty and potential for us as a congregation when we truly allow Jesus’ words to play out in our daily lives.
I hope that you will be able to come out this week as Scott will be back to teach and wrap up the iLife sermon series. The focus this week will touch on what it truly means to live an integrated and holistic life.
It has been a great summer in regards to our kids of all ages. From VBS, multiple weeks of church camp, mission trips, special events, and retreats, we have taken seriously the task of investing in the future leaders of the church. We could not be more thrilled by the stories of deepened spiritual commitment and growth. Additionally, we are so blessed to have Katelyn and Tyler serving at Forum. They
are both extremely talented, and we look forward to all that they will do to heighten Forum as a faith community.
I ask that you continue to pray that God works through each of us at Forum to impact and make a difference in Columbia.
