It was good to be with you last week as we continued our Behind the Music sermon series. This week, Scott will be back in town and will teach from 1 Corinthians chapter 3. If you get the chance, I encourage you to read this text before the Sunday service. The message will deal with building as a master builder versus building a foundation that is haphazard. Scott will also take time to address some common questions regarding the upcoming multi-site.
I hope you all weathered the storm from earlier this week without too much difficulty. The church was hit pretty hard by all of the lightning — computers, light dimmers, and some other equipment were all hit during the storm. There was a point this week when we were seriously considering having church by candlelight. A special thanks to all of those who did in fact get us back up and running — all will be as normal. And yet, even with the electric and air conditioning back on, I think we were all reminded that regardless of what electric power we do or don’t have, God’s power remains the same. -- Jared
