I spoke with Scott on Monday morning while he was awaiting his departure flight to India. He was excited about his opportunity to preach, teach, and speak with those serving Christ in Central India, but I know that he also wanted me to give you all his best. We serve a great God, and Forum is truly a place where good things are happening in His name.
I would ask that you would continue to pray for Scott, the Sells, and the Central India Christian Mission throughout this week and the next. If you would like to find out a little bit more about the Central India Christian Mission, I would suggest visiting Christian Standard’s recent interview with Ajai Lall, founder of CICM. http://www.christianstandard.com/interview.asp?id=362
I want you to know that I am excited about this upcoming Sunday. I had an opportunity to sit in on the worship team as they were practicing last night, and I really think that you will be in for a special treat on Sunday. Additionally, I am looking forward to continuing the Seismic series as we continue to study the book of Acts together. If I were to give you a sneak preview to Sunday’s sermon, I would tell you that we are going to take a look at the church when it was at its best. I would encourage you to read Acts 2:42-47 in preparation for the service. This passage tells of the beginnings of the Jerusalem church. As you read about the church in Jerusalem when it was at its best, I hope that you will start to imagine what could happen if we, at Forum, could truly be at our best. It is exciting to imagine how transformational we could become as a faith community in and around Columbia.
I look forward to seeing you all on Sunday.
