Thanks for all the great feedback connected to this sermon series. I do want to encourage every one of you to put God’s word into play in EVERY area of your life. Trust Him to mold and shape you. We’ve been having a really great season of ministry and I’m thankful to be part of a growing church. We truly want to intentionally connect people to Jesus and that is happening. Let me encourage you to remain faithful and trust God. Sounds simple – can be simple – keep it simple.
I’m really looking forward to the children’s program this Sunday night. There is something that is just so very pure about kids’ praise to the Lord. It will happen at 6:00 p.m. in the auditorium. Come and enjoy the “Good News Cruise.”
On May 4th at 5:00 p.m. we will be having another “Pizza with the Pastors.” If you are new to Forum or have questions about the ministry, this is an informal time to get to know us better. We will end at 7:00 p.m. and childcare will be provided.
Coming up on May 11th is our first baby dedication of the year. This is a chance to bring your child before the Lord and verbally pledge your commitment toward intentionally connecting them to their Savior Jesus Christ. Call Tracey Buster or the church office to sign up or for more details.
I also want you encourage you to check out the new website at www.forumchristian.org. Although we will, as ever, be making ongoing modifications – I truly want to thank all that made it happen. It really looks great. Thanks to Jared Wortman, Jeff Bilbro, and Amanda Brown for many hours of planning and design.
I also want to highlight the new logo. I know some of you are going, “I liked the old logo.” I did too – helped design it. That said – it’s gone – so forget it. The new logo reflects our design to intentionally connect people to Jesus. The “o” in it represents the intersection of the cross on our lives and our community. It also represents the world in that we are part of the global community. We have a responsibility to intentionally connect people to Jesus when they are at cross points in their lives.
As ever – as a body – Forum is a great place. I can’t wait to worship with you this Sunday. Scott
