This week we kick into the seasonal dialogue with a new series called, “Christmas Classics.” I’m really excited about the message for this weekend in that a new concept emerged in my insight this week. For someone who has been in and around church as long as me that is kind of a rare thing. The concept all arose out of a conversation I was having with a friend connected to destiny. That’s all I’m going to give you – you’ll have to be here or tune in via podcast to find out the rest. I do want to take a moment to thank Jared Wortman as he closed out the “Bridges” series. I’m really glad God led Jared here and appreciate God’s gifting within his life.
I hope you used this past weekend to jumpstart the Christmas season. I heard nothing but exceptional comments connected to the Central Choir and our kids programs. As ever – the purpose of all that we do is to intentionally connect people to Jesus – that’s what we want to do. We want to create an environment where each of us are connecting with God on a real and personal level.
Here are some of the upcoming ministry opportunities that I would encourage you to be part of:
December 14 - 6 p.m. in the auditorium - "Born a Savior, Born a King" - Presented by the Adult Choir
December 24 – 5 and 6:30 p.m. Christmas Eve Services - Let me encourage you to invite those you know who aren’t connected to a church to the Christmas Eve service or the service the Sunday before Christmas. It’s a perfect time to help people connect with Jesus.
Teachers Meeting for training on new curriculum for K - 5th grade - December 14 at 5 p.m. If you haven’t already attended one of these training sessions, please try to make this one.
I’m so looking forward to worshiping with you this upcoming Sunday. See you then. -- Scott
