E-news for week of 2/1/09 - 2/7/09

As a church, I truly appreciate the way we seem to be coming together in order to accomplish the mission in front of us. I’ve been very encouraged by the feedback connected to the road trip series. I think it’s helped all of us to realize on a personal level and even as a church God has us on a journey. Our journey as a church is to intentionally connect people to Jesus. That journey may take you around the globe on a mission trip or that journey may take you to Gerbes where you talk to someone about God in the produce section.

Toward that end – as a staff we were also HIGHLY encouraged by the Forum pep rally on Tuesday night. All of our areas are starting to fill in details for both campuses and get things fully lined up – that said – I know our children’s areas can still use volunteers for both sites with the most pressing need being for 6 preschool workers one Sunday a month at 11 a.m. at the north campus. Contact Katelyn (Katelyn@forumchristian.org) or Jessie (Jessie@forumchristian.org) in order to help connect children to Jesus.

This Sunday we’ll be looking at the Rules of the Road from Exodus 20. Just out of curiosity – did any of your families have any unusual rule or protocol for road trips? If so, let me know at scott@forumchristian.org. Can’t wait to worship with you this Sunday. -- Scott
