e-news for 11/18/09

Have you ever experienced a day where everything just clicked? Where life, work, family, connection to God, service to others, marriage, and everything just seems to synch up into place? This week we start a three-week series called, “The Sweet Spot” and we’re going to explore our partnership with God.

This series deals with stewardship and the partnership God has called us into. This is going to come at you from a completely different angle than you’ve probably ever experienced. I believe Jesus. I take him at his word. While there is internal friction in my life with that type of simple obedience and faith (I’ve been very transparent about my personal cynicism), I still land at believing Jesus and following his precepts wholeheartedly. I believe Jesus when he spoke the words, “I have come that they might have life and life to the full.” Hitting the sweet spot in life is found in Jesus. Let’s start with him this weekend and check out how to live in the sweet spot both as an individual and as a church.

This is coming out earlier in the week to remind you of the family event taking place at Shryock’s Callaway Farms Corn Maze, 2927 County Road 253. We will meet there at 5:45 p.m. (If you need a ride be at the church by 5 p.m.) The cost is $6 per person, and children 3 years and younger get in free. We will provide S’mores at the campfire. You might want to bring a flashlight and a bottle of water. 12 years and under must be accompanied by an adult. Bring the family and join the fun!

Looking forward to worshipping with you this Sunday. — Scott
