God continues to do great things here at Forum.
Good — We just got approval from the city to do our ministry makeover. We had an initial “fleece” financial marker of $20,000 before we started. This past Sunday, giving toward that project crested over $20,000. We’ll keep you informed as to the steps/progress/changes and the timing of the whole endeavor.
Better — We continue to have new people coming to both campuses each week. As a ministry, we continue to expand outreach and connect people to Jesus. Our life groups continue to expand. North campus continues to run 80-100 people. South campus continues to reach out as well. Our youth and children’s areas have experienced significant growth as well.
Best — Recently these people have made decisions for Christ – either to connect with Forum as their church or being baptized into Christ: Kelsey Maddox, Blake Ballard, Steven Bermudez, Caroline Abbott, Spencer Hockman, Steve and Marilyn Roberts. Still others are praying and considering making decisions.
Challenge — Throughout the year our finances have been dead on all year and then, for the first time this year in September we didn’t fully hit budget needs. While we pray it’s not the economy catching up with us, I would put in front of you the importance of consistent and faithful giving. I do thank you for your ongoing faithfulness so that these types of encouragements are rare.
This Sunday you’ll get great encouragement from God’s word as we continue in the VIII series. Romans 8:28 is in the mix for this Sunday – one of my personal faves when it comes to the promises of God.
Make plans to be part of the workday on Saturday beginning at 7 a.m., and the picnic on Sunday afternoon beginning at 4 p.m. at Twin Lakes. Website has details.
Looking so forward to worshiping with you this Sunday. — Scott
