The Cool Continues.

During third service one of our teens, Tony Bradshaw, baptized Bailey Turner into Christ. After the service, Susae Griffith came forward and confessed Jesus as Lord and was baptized (fully in her clothes). Tuesday Josh and Julie Hawley were baptized by Ted Mountjoy.

Thanks for the great feedback from this series. God’s word challenges and liberates. This Sunday we’ll all be challenged toward new levels of being like Christ. We finish out the real life, real people, real answers series. Study James 5: 13-20 if you want to read ahead (Matthew 18: 15-20, and Luke 17: 1-4 will give you some additional background). Giving you the heads up – this Sunday in second and third services – please be on time.

Some important details:

1. During our search period connected to the worship ministry – we’ll continue to focus on Jesus. Stephen Walton – who is our summer intern – will be helping to coordinate and orchestrate details. Stephen is an exceptional young man. Last Tuesday in staff meeting I turned to him and said, “So.... welcome to your internship.” As a church body, let’s lift Stephen up as he helps each of us intentionally connect to God during our times of worship together.

2. This Saturday we’ll continue working on the Habitat for Humanity project. You can sign up on the church website, forumchristian.org

3. Need to give a plug for the remodeling project – we’ve received around $3500 so far. We’ll plan a designated giving Sunday in September to help jumpstart this project. We’ll keep you updated as we strive together toward this.

It’s a joy to serve you as a church body. Please keep the elders and staff in prayer as we strive to intentionally connect people to Jesus. — Scott
