e-news for 12/06/09

An old song says, “Celebrate, Jesus, Celebrate.”
When do we see God and God’s agents celebrating?
We see the celebration of the angels with the shepherds celebrating the birth of our Lord.
We see celebration in heaven as the angels circle the throne of God.
We see God and the angels celebrating when one sinner turns to God and gives their life to the Lord.

Once again, I share a Christmas lyric:

Celebrate the Child who is the Light.
Now the darkness is over.
No more wandering in the night.
Celebrate the Child who is the Light.

You know this is no fable;
Godhead and manhood became one.
We see He’s more than able,
And so we live to God the Son.

Celebrate the Child who is the Light.
Now the darkness is over.
No more wandering in the night.
Celebrate the Child who is the Light.

Firstborn of creation,
Lamb and Lion, God and Man.
The author of salvation.
Almighty wrapped in swaddling bands.

Celebrate the Child who is the Light.
Now the darkness is over.
No more wandering in the night.
Celebrate the Child who is the Light.
(Celebrate the Child. Music and Lyrics by Michael Card)

During this joyous season, I’d encourage you to radiate the Light that lives within you.
