There’s a running joke within our staff (specifically the youth ministry staff) that I have an obsession with Matt Damon movies (so not true). There’s a new movie coming out right now called, “Green Zone “ and in the trailer/teaser Matt Damon says, “Get your gameface on.” I tell you all right now – this series was named and picked LAST AUGUST. So Matt Damon had no influence over me picking this title. As we’ve started the series called, “Gameface,” it’s encouraging to hear of decisions that are already being made in lives about people who are striving to step up in their imitation of Christ.
Some great things are going to happen this weekend. It was so exciting to see a couple of young adults who are getting baptized this Sunday who used Facebook to invite friends to come and be a part of their baptisms!!! That’s a great witness.
