This weekend I want to encourage you to pray for our high school students as they have a “DiscipleNow” weekend. The theme for the weekend is “LiveLove.” As a ministry Forum values youth, children, and teaching. That’s one of the reasons we have purposefully hired exceptional kingdom workers to lead those areas. That’s why we will remodel and reconfigure rooms during the summer. I’ve never bought into the concept that kids “are the future.” Friends, they are the present. That’s why we have young men who serve communion on Sunday mornings, young people who are in our choirs, young people who lead worship, etc.
Forum has a great group of students and it’s exciting to see them growing and thriving. Jeff Snell, from Lincoln Christian College in Illinois will be leading the weekend.
God has Forum on a mission in His name. A mission to rise up and impact a city for Jesus Christ. I hope you are striving to imitate him daily.
Service Opportunities:
All Church Paint Day – Saturday, March 20. We will start with coffee and donuts at 7 a.m. and will be serving pizza at noon. In between those hours we hope to get a lot of painting done. If you can give even a few hours, please come and give us a hand.
Jr. High “Serve His” trip to Show-Me Christian Youth Home in LaMonte, MO on March 26-28. Adults and families are welcome to be a part of this weekend. It will be a service trip with Bible studies on Friday and Saturday nights. Cost is $25 per person plus 2 meals. If you would like to know more about this trip, see Jody or Max Sell.
